By far, the most nastiest thing ever, this so-called "Luxury Resort" reuses and repackage other guests' soap. Apon arriving and checking in, it took an hour and 5 calls to have a crib and soap delivered. There were pleasant individual, like the gentlemen that clean our room, and Ramon, who handed out towels, Erica and another older gentlemen, who service the bar at the adult pool.Beware Not Luxury!!! By far the most worst experience ever! First and last time staying at Grand Park Royal Luxury Resort. Just to be clear, not all personal were rude or unwelcoming. At times you will say, maybe they are having a bad day and let it go, but when it's everyday, there is a problem. Personal at the front great you with a smile, but the personal at the restaurants and the bar have attitudes. I will never stay at this facility again. This kind of things just don't sit well specially when you are trying to have a great time and having to confront personal to get what you paid for. Also, I was given a service window from 9 to 5 and our person assigned to us told me that her service window was 10 to 4. I had to ask her if we received incorrect information from the receptionist and at that time she confirmed that I had the correct information for services provide. When I asked our person assigned to us, the information she gave us was completely different. We upgraded our stay based on the information given at the check in counter. Habachi was not an authentic experience, and the Mexican a bit blah! Roberto and Erica at the adults pool bar were the most outstanding staff members. Food - Breakfast in the main restaurant was fabulous, lunch and buffet dinners average. Not sure if we were paying enough tips to our housemaid - we thought $300 MXN a day was ok, but soaps, coffee, water etc were replenished infrequently. Out Butler was hopeless, we don’t even remember her name, as we saw her once, and she was slow to respond to WhatsApp messages which was our only way of contact. Tables were empty ( as was the whole restaurant ) but there were no exceptions. Some staff refused to be very helpful - we wanted to eat outside at our restaurant for breakfast, but were told inside only unless we had a reservation. They abused the staff in the pool bar, we felt incredibly sorry for them. A lot of complaints were made by many adults, and the hotel finally listened, had security monitor for a couple of days and keep the kids out. The resort had over 120 teenagers staying, and they took over the adults only pool, making it crowded, unsafe and not a nice experience as there was a lot of underage drinking going on. The room we booked and paid for 15 months ago was unavailable on arrival, so they made us pay for a better room. This has the potential to be a great hotel, but is let down in several areas.
